Four-week courses -
Available Session 2 is Aug 4 to Aug 27

ES-174 Introduction to Astrological Symbolism. (3 credits)
No symposium required - Live Video Lectures!
Professor: Enid Newberg, MA
Among divinatory methods of interpreting the cosmos, astrology is the most prevalent worldwide. Because students are expected to examine and critique astrological premises, they need to have a working knowledge of the symbolism (planets, signs and houses), the glyphs, and a basic understanding of the structure of astrological analysis as used in Western and Vedic astrology.

ES-184 Math and Time: Chart calculation. (1 credit)
No symposium. Offered Session 2

Teaching Assistant: Lauran Fowks
All time calculations are math problems. To manually calculate an astrological chart, students need to know a variety of basic math skills connected with latitude, longitude, the ability to compute between time zones and to compute planetary positions based on a daily ephemeris.

Active ImageKepler College embraces the education of a small cohort of traditional and non-traditional students by using the combined benefits of both an online educational format and an in-residence symposium. Our unique curriculum attracts students who are creative, adventurous, sophisticated and eclectic. Faculty members model for our students what it means to critically examine non-traditional subjects, to synthesize existing beliefs, and to create new ones. Our classes and curriculum are designed to provide a foundation of cognitive skills and personal maturity for our students so they can successfully illuminate their own goals and choices while they navigate today’s rapidly changing world.

We offer distance education combined with a 3-5 days residential symposia for some terms.
