This short course can be taken anytime as an independent class and as a prelude for CS102 Traditional Medical Astrology and CS101 Horary Astrology in depth (this workshop or the equivalent is required for these two courses).

How do you determine which planet is stronger when looking at aspects? How do you quickly find the strongest planets in the chart? Or which planets may pose more challenges even if they aren't aspected or mainly have trines? Classical astrologers used essential dignities and debilities.These were their building blocks for interpretation.

In the history of Astrology there were five Essential Dignities. In the last two centuries, three of them have often been ignored, but in this course, we will present them in their entirety.

Students will have 4 months to complete four assignments that apply what they have been learning to actual chart work. The course site has video and audio recordings, written presentations and more to aid the student in learning how to understand the importance of essential dignities in chart interpretation. The instructor will review these assignments in order to let students know how successfully they understand and can apply the material. Students can also email questions to the instructor at any time.

This course is highly recommended if you are going to take CS101 Traditional Horary Astrology or CS102 Traditional Medical Astrology. Students who enroll in CS101 or CS102 after taking this course will receive a discount.
