Overview & Admissions

Instructors: Carol Tebbs and Jacqueline Menkes

The course introduces students to the basics of cosmological symbolism and applications developed in Western cultures and in current use. Beyond planets, houses, signs and aspects, 102 introduces students to natal patterns and chart points that clarify natal interpretation, such as: configurations, essential dignities, sensitive points, house systems, harmonics, asteroids, declinations, Moon phases and the natural cycles of outer planets. This course covers:

Instructors: Tamira McGillivray, Donna Young, Enid Newberg

The objective for this course is that, by the end, students will have learned the basics of astrological symbolism and be on their way to successfully synthesizing that knowledge to interpret a chart, even if there is no birth time. To accomplish this goal, the following areas will be covered:

enrollSpring Term starts the week of March 31, 2014

Unless noted, all the courses are 10-weeks in length and cost $530.

Every term includes both electives (some of which may only be offered once per year) and regularly scheduled Certificate courses. Live meetings will be recorded and students will receive a copy of the recording as part of their tuition.

Chart rectification can be challenging and different astrologers have advocated different methods. In the final class of the certificate, Moving the Chart in Time (W112), students have a chance to test different methods. Corinna Hurst, a student from the Certificate program, has volunteered to share her Week 6 assignment. Corinna started studying at Kepler in the fall of 2010, starting at the beginning with W101 Introduction to Astrological Symbolism and Practice.

Week 6 assignment for W112 Rectification class taught by Carol Tebbs (Fall term 2012-2013)

  • Select a chart of a notable person whose birth time is A, B, or C-rated and experiment with one of the rectification methods described by another author (reviewed in week 1) except Zipporyh Dobyns, Carol Tebbs and Noel Tyl, since we have already practiced their methods. Use a list of important life events to derive a birth time that astrologically corresponds to time rectification, most probably one of especial interest to you. [Note: The other authors included Bernadette Brady, Ciro Discepolo, Laurence Ely, Ken Gilman, David Meadows, Bruce Scofield, and John Willner.]

In addition to webinars and workshops that are held at any time, there are regularly scheduled 10-week courses that are part of the primary Certificate and Diploma Program. These follow a specific schedule with four terms per year. You are welcome to begin taking courses in any term. Please click here for additional information on the certificate and diploma program.

See what our students have to say

My first experience with the Kepler Certificate Program has been an amazing journey. After many years of reading and trying to understand how astrology works, I decided I needed help pulling all the pieces together.

Since I work and have a family, the Kepler online learning program has been a wonderful way for me to reach out to the Universe and understand just a little more about who I am and where I want to go. The teachers are extremely knowledgeable and accessible.

The online learning environment is a great tool with video, audio, webinars, resource links, pdf documents, etc. Kepler also includes their own text and work book and a great selection of an easy to understand astrology books. With the ability to review any area I may find challenging, my learning is exciting and adapted to my needs.

I am enthusiastic and looking forward to continuing my astrological search with Kepler.

Thanks again, Linda Schingen (W101)
